Civic Amenity Sites
There are three Civic Amenity Sites on the Island.
Details of their location, opening times and the waste items acceptable at each are detailed below:



Lynnbottom Civic Amenity site,
Briddlesford Road, Near Arreton


Open 7am - 10pm Summer, 7am - 7pm Winter (Summer and Winter time determined by the changing of the clocks)

The site will accept bulky household wastes and has facilities for recycling:
Metal, Glass bottles and jars, Engine oil, Car batteries, Textiles, Aluminium cans, White goods, Garden waste, rubble, books, videos,CD's and mobile phones, Televisions and Computer monitors and fluorescent tubes.

No Plasterboard or Asbestos at this site.



Forest Park Civic Amenity site
Forest Road, Newport


Open only at weekends 9.30am - 4.30pm

The site will accept bulky household wastes and has facilities for recycling:
Metal, Glass bottles and jars, Engine oil, Car batteries, Textiles, Aluminium cans, White goods, Garden waste, books, videos, Cd's , mobile phones and hand tools

No Trailers or large vans allowed.

Plasterboard can only be taken to Forest Rd at the following times:     Monday–Friday from 8.30–11.30 and 15.00–16.30.
Please Note: We cannot accept Plasterboard at the weekends.

Afton Civic Amenity Site
Afton Road, Freshwater


Open only at weekends 9.30am - 4.30pm

The site will accept bulky household wastes and has facilities for recycling:
Metal, Engine oil, Car batteries, White goods, Garden waste, books, videos, CD's, mobile phones and hand tools.

No Plasterboard or Asbestos at this site.



For glass bottles and jars, aluminium cans and Textiles you can use Public Recycling Sites
