Click here to request a recycling bin Island Waste Services will provide (free of charge) a 10 litre lidded bucket for the separate collection of organic kitchen waste.

The bucket can be lined with a carrier bag if you wish (a supermarket bag fits very well).

The bucket can be used for:
  • Fruit and vegetable peelings
  • Tea bags and coffee grounds
  • Egg shells
  • Left over cooked and uncooked food


The bucket will be collected weekly at the same time as your general refuse.
You may leave the bucket wherever you normally leave your black sack.
If you wish to keep the bucket indoors you may simply place the carrier bag for collection.
