Island Waste Services - Kerbside Recycling Service

Mr Wight reads a paper every day and the County Press on Fridays. In a year he recycles 416 newspapers in his family's kerbside box.

Master Wight has a comic and Mrs Wight has a weekly magazine so another 104 magazines go in the box every year.

Island Waste Services will provide (free of charge) a kerbside box suitable for the collection of the following items:

Newspapers and stapled magazines
Glass bottles and jars
Textiles

This service operates on a fortnightly basis on the same day as your normal refuse.

Please note that your recycling box must be placed at the kerbside by 7am.

PLEASE NOTE
The kerbside box cannot be used for: Cardboard, Junk Mail, Catalogues, glass cookware, sheet glass or drinking glasses.
These items must be placed in with your general refuse.
Your general refuse is taken to the Resource Recovery Facility and processed into fuel. Find out more about the Resource Recovery Facility
