The Island's households produce approximately 5million bin liners of rubbish every year.
If these were stacked on top of each other they would be about 40 metres (130ft) high! If these were laid end to end they would stretch for 2,500kms or 1,554 miles! That's just over half a tonne per household or 75 refuse sacks per year!
